About 150 km east of Amsterdam and connected to the A1 and A35 highway, lies the city of Almelo with about 72.000 inhabitants. Centrally based in the region of Twente in the eastern part of the Netherlands, the city is only 20 minutes driving away from the city of Enschede with its Saxion University and the Technical University of Twente and about 30 minutes driving from Germany.
