Meeting Highlights
Under New Business, the Board:
- Approved the development of new courses, changes to existing course, and authorized their submission to the Illinois Community College Board (ICCB) for action effective on the dates listed.
Approval - New Courses
- MATH 1131 - Mathematics for Elementary Teacher, effective 8/1/2026
Approval - Changes to existing Course
- ARCH 0009 - computer Aided Drafting Occupational Certificate, effective 1/1/2026
RATIONALE: These items have been approved by the Curriculum Committee and Academic Council. These changes improve the college鈥檚 educational offerings and support efforts to enhance the quality of instruction.
- Approved Revisions to 海角视频 Board Policy & Procedure 3.1115 鈥� Stipends, effective December 9, 2025.
RATIONALE: The stipend reflects revisions to better meet the needs of the college.
- Approved Revisions to 海角视频 Policy & Procedure 1.5000 鈥� Organizational Chart, effective December 9, 2025.
RATIONALE: These changes are needed to better reflect the organizational structure of the institution.
- Approved the 2026-2027 海角视频 Catalog
- Approved the 海角视频 Board of Trustees Calendar Year 2026 Meeting Schedule, effective December 9, 2025.
RATIONALE: The calendar year 2026 schedule provides for the Board of Trustees to meet on Tuesdays each month in the Event Center Warrior Lounge on the 海角视频 campus.
Under Personnel, the Board:
- Ratified with regret the acceptance of the retirement resignation of Gina Shafer-Schenk, Coordinator of Technology Integration and Training, effective January 30, 2026.
- Ratified with regret the acceptance of the retirement resignation of Charlie Massie, Maintenance Technician, effective January 30, 2026.
- Ratified with regret the acceptance of the resignation of Maggie Ervin, Director - Workforce Development, effective December 31, 2025.
- Tabled the appointment of Director - TRIO Program
- Granted permission to create the position and job description, advertise for and ratify the appointment of a Coordinator - Dual Credit / Academic Advisor, effective December 9, 2025.
- Granted permission to create the position and job description, advertise for and ratify the appointment of Coordinator - Online Learning and Accessibility, effective December 9, 2025.
Under Financial Information, the Board:
- Approved ratification of the Payment of College Expenses including Travel Expense Reimbursements.
