About This Position
º£½ÇÊÓÆµ seeks a full-time Coordinator- Southern Illinois Manufacturing Academy. This position will:
- Assist in developing and fostering partnerships with educators, agencies, service organizations, and employers in support of the Southern Illinois Manufacturing Academy (SIMA).
- Coordinate and perform all activities which relate to SIMA, including but not limited to: company contacts; recruitment activities; facility usage; ordering supplies and maintaining inventory; planning, manufacturing and marketing of products; maintenance of machinery.
- Implement and oversee safety protocols.
- Coordinate training and activities with other college departments.
- Serve as the liaison between student, faculty, staff, manufacturing related agencies, educators, and employers to effectively coordinate usage and operations of SIMA.
- Provide training as requested.
- Schedule and coordinate outreach events for students and partners, both education and industry, highlighting access to SIMA.
//This is a 50-week, non-tenure track position
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a background screening
- Associates degree required, Bachelor's preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years manufacturing work experience required
- Excellent written and oral skills
Salary & Benefits
- $65,000-$75,000 annually.
