Benton's Meinert elected RLC Student Trustee

March 10, 2025

INA, Ill. (March 10, 2025) — º£½ÇÊÓƵ sophomore Henry Meinert (Benton) was elected  as the next Student Trustee for the college. Outgoing Student Trustee Wyatt Hamson (Belle Rive) will turn the job over to Meinert at the Board of Trustees' April meeting.

Student Trustee - Henry Meinert

Meinert is on track to graduate from RLC in 2026 from the Agricultural Production & Management program.

The RLC Student Trustee has represented the student body since 1973. Meinert is the 55th student to serve in the office, and will serve for the 2025-2026 academic year. He will attend meetings of the RLC Board of Trustees each month and will have an advisory vote on all action items. It is a great opportunity for a motivated student like Meinert to get involved in a service role.

The next chance to run for student trustee will come up in Spring 2024. Students interested in running can learn more about the position at rlc.edu/studenttrustee
