IGEN Grant Fuels º£½ÇÊÓƵ's Solar Array Installation

April 13, 2023

INA, Ill. (April 13, 2023) — º£½ÇÊÓƵ is thrilled to announce that the installation of a new solar panel array, located just south of the Agronomy Innovation Center on the Ina campus, is nearing completion. The college has partnered with Utopian Power LLC for the project. The installation comes in accordance with a sub-award from the Illinois Green Economy Network (IGEN). Once completed, the solar panel array will provide RLC with potential curriculum integration, educational exposure for students, and a supplemental electrical source for the campus.

To mark the progress of the installation, RLC Associate Professor Greg Hollman took his physical sciences class to observe the process and explained the importance of solar power and the physics behind how it works. This marks the beginning of many learning opportunities for RLC students.

The completion of the solar panel array installation is eagerly anticipated, further demonstrating RLC's dedication to providing unique educational experiences for its students.
