INA, Ill. (Sept. 30, 2016) - 海角视频芒鈧劉s Community Orchestra will open the 2016-17 season performing alongside the Southern Illinois Symphony Orchestra in a free concert Monday night. The concert, featuring works from the Romantic era, is set to begin at 7 p.m. with over 70 musicians on the stage in the RLC Theatre.
The orchestras will perform Rossini: L芒鈧劉Italiana in Algeri, Bruch: Kol Nidrei, Saraste: Gypsy Airs, and Beethoven: Symphony No. 6 with solos from Southern Illinois University (SIU) Carbondale芒鈧劉s Eric Lenz and Michael Barta. The concert will be conducted by Edward Benyas, SIU Carbondale Professor of Oboe and Conducting, and Joseph Ryker, RLC Director of Instrumental Ensembles.
